How it all started

Ed has long held a deep passion for art and design, alongside a genuine love and respect for the natural world. His interest in gardens began at a young age, helping at home with everyday tasks such as cutting lawns and tending borders, and crafting bonsai from ash seedlings that emerged through the cracks of the concrete patio.

whilst at school a work experience placement led me to spend valuable time with an architect who happened to be married to a landscape architect. Little did I know that sitting at a professional drawing board at that time and casting my eyes over landscape drawings was the first step on a journey into the landscape industry”.

Ed studied Landscape Architecture at the University of Gloucestershire before beginning his design career with a landscape architecture practice in Bristol. During this time, he worked on a diverse range of projects, from private and public gardens to college and school grounds.

A later move into landscape consultancy broadened his expertise in landscape architecture and design, as well as visual impact assessment for development projects—experience that has since played a key role in shaping his thoughtful and considered approach to landscape design.

“Since 2010, I have been fortunate to apply my knowledge and craft to designing and building my own garden designs and in doing so have created some beautiful gardens in and around Bristol, Bath and Somerset. Something that I’m incredibly proud of”.
